Before file your tax return, what kinds of information and files should you prepare?
1. SIN, if you do not have SIN, we can help you (check "Tax Number" when you fill in online tax service application).
2. T4（employment income）, if any
3. T5（interest income）, if any
3. T2202A (Tuition of post-secondary program), if any
Normally secondary and ESL students do not have T2202A for their tuition.
You can find it on your online student account, usually under Tax receipt/form or similar items.

4. Rent or Property Tax (for owners of property)
Rent: Only private residence, not dormitory.
If you lived in both dormitory and private residences in the same year, please check dormitory and fill in the information of rent.
If you lived in home-stay family, please exclude the fee of food or other services.
If you changed address within the same year, please fill in respectively.
If you shared the residence with other person, only fill in your own part.
If you lived in the same residence from one year to the next year, please calculate according to the tax/calendar year first. For example, if you lived in one place from 2014/8/20 to 2015/8/19, the rent was $500/month, please fill in in this place lived for 4 months, the total fee was $2000 in Year 2014; and lived for 8 month, the total fee was $4000 in Year 2015 (according to round principle).
If your rent had been adjusted, please calculate the total expense. For example, if you lived in one place from 2015/1/1 to 2015/7/31, the rent was $500/month for the first 2 months, then $600/month for the l
About Landing Benefit
Landing Benefit is the benefit from CRA from your landing date to next July of your landing year.
If you were more than 19 years old when you landed in Canada, you can apply for this Landing Benefit. For example, if you are born in November 1995 and you landed in Canada in December 2014, you are eligible for it.
If you never apply for it, we can help you.
If you do not apply for it, you will not get it.
How much benefit you can get? It depends, normally some hundred for a single student.
CRA processing procedure
1.We file your tax；
2.You will receive Notice of Assessment (as a single student without any employment income, the income is 0 and the refund is 0 too)；
3.You will receive Benefit Statement and Benefit。
**Our responsibility is finished after you receive Notice of Assessment. When you are waiting for your benefit or within 6 years after filing tax return, you may face investigation from CRA, please cooperate with CRA.
