어떤 정보를 준비해야합니까?
​1. SIN, issued by Service Canada, 9 digital number, starting from 0 or 9; 
2. T4(employment income, if possible;
3. T5(bank interest income), if possible;
4. T2202A (Tuition for post-secondary students), if possible;
Generally secondary and ESL students do not have T2202A for their tuition.
You can find it on your online student account, usually under Tax receipt/form or similar items.
**Scan or cut or take a picture of one form for all T-slips,  we only need the area of numbers (tuition and months of part-time/full-time study)
5. Ontario Rent or Property Tax (for owners of property)
Rent: Only private residence, not dormitory. 
If you lived in both dormitory and private residences in the same year, please check dormitory and fill in the information of rent.
If you lived in home-stay family, please exclude food expense and other service fees.
If you changed address within the same year, please fill in respectively.
If you shared the residence with other person, only fill in your own part.
If you lived in the same residence accross years, please calculate according to the calendar year first. For example, if you lived in one place from 2014/8/20 to 2015/8/19, the rent was $500/month, please fill in in this place lived for 4 months, the total fee was $2000 in Year 2014; and lived for 8 month, the total fee was $4000 in Year 2015 (according to round principle).
If your rent had been adjusted, please calculate the total expense. For example, if you lived in one place from 2015/1/1 to 2015/7/31, the rent was $500/month for the first 2 months, then $600/month for the last 5 months, please fill in in this place lived for 7 months, the total fee was $4000.

Q: Why should I file my tax return?
A: Filing your tax return is your right and obligation as a Canadian resident. By filing it, you can get your tax refund, benefit and accumulate your tuition credit, if applicable.
Q:Who can file tax return?
A:  You can file tax return as long as you are over 18 years old, no matter your marital status, occupation (secondar or ESL student) and income (even is 0).
Q: I came to Canada on 2016/12/31, can I file 2016 tax return? 
A: No matter when you came to Canada, you can file your tax return because the benefit is for the full next benefit year.
Q: Generally when can I file the tax?
A: You can file current year's tax return in this March, usually the tax season is March and April.  However, even tax season passes, you can still file your tax, and for students, usually it will not affect your tax if you file after tax season.
Q: I never file tax return after I came to Canada, can I file for previous years?
A: Sure, we can help you file your tax return for previous 10 years.
Q: When can I get the tax refund and benefit?
A: You can get tax refund and benefit for previous years once your application has been processed. Tax refund takes 0.5-2 months, previous years benefit and landing benefit may take more time. For current year, you can get benefit from this July until next June.
Q: How many benefit can I get?
A: For single student in Ontario, usually the annual benefit is at least $560/year+residence benefit, totally up to $1000/year. For other provinces, $280/year+provincial benefit (it depends). We will estimate it after filing.
Q:What is the tuition credit for?
A: When you file your tax return, the tuition credit will be accumulated under your name. You can claim it back when you work.
Q: If I do not have rent receipts, can I claim for it?
A: If you do not have receipts, please do not claim for it unless you can approve it by cheque slips. If you lost a receipt, make sure you can get a new one.
